दुःखद बातमी | २०० कोरोना रुग्णांवर अंत्यसंस्कार करणाऱ्या रुग्णवाहिका चालकाचा मृत्यू

नवी दिल्ली, ११ ऑक्टोबर : कोरोनाच्या लढ्यामध्ये रस्त्यावर येऊन आपला जीव धोक्यात घालून कोरोना बळींवर अंत्यसंस्कार करणाऱ्या रुग्णवाहिका चालकाचा कोरोनानेच घात केला आहे. दिल्लीच्या सीलमपूर भागात ही दुर्दैवी घटना घडली आहे.

दिल्लीच्या सीलमपूर भागात राहणाऱ्या ‘आरिफ खान’ यांनी कोरोनाच्या काळात स्वतःचा जीव धोक्यात घालून 200 हून अधिक कोरोनाग्रस्तांना हॉस्पिटलमध्ये पोहोचविले होते. तसेच 100 हून अधिक कोरोनामुळे मृत्यू झालेल्यांना स्मशान भूमीमध्ये अंत्यसंस्कारासाठी पोहोचविले होते.

रुग्णवाहिका चालक म्हणून कार्यरत असताना आरिफ यांनी स्वतःचा जीव धोक्यात घालून रुग्णांची सेवा करत होते. आरिफ खान हे मागील २५ वर्षांपासून शहीद भगत सिंग सेवा दलासोबत काम करत होते. ते मोफत रुग्णवाहिका पुरवण्याचं काम करायचे. २१ मार्चपासून आरिफ खान करोना रुग्णांची रुग्णवाहिकेच्या माध्यमातून सेवा करत होते. आरिफ यांच्या निधनानंतर उपराष्ट्रपती व्यंकय्या नायडू यांनी ट्विट करून श्रद्धांजली अर्पण केली आहे.
