माजी सरन्यायाधीश रंजन गोगोई राज्यसभेवर

नवी दिल्ली: सुप्रीम कोर्टाचे माजी सरन्यायाधीश रंजन गोगोई यांची राष्ट्रपती रामनाथ कोविंद यांनी राज्यसभेसाठी निवड केलीय. राज्यसभेतले १२ खासदारांची शिफारस राष्ट्रपतींना करता येते. गोगोईंनी ३ ऑक्टोबर २०१८ रोजी सरन्यायाधीश पदाचा कार्यभार स्वीकारला. जवळपास १३ महिने त्यांनी सरन्यायाधीश म्हणून काम केलं.

सरकारनं काढलेल्या अधिसूचनेत केलेल्या उल्लेखानुसार, ‘भारताच्या संविधानाच्या अनुच्छेद ८० च्या खंड (३) सोबत पठित खंड (१) च्या उपखंड (क) द्वारे प्रदान करण्यात आलेल्या अधिकाराचा वापर करत राष्ट्रपती, एका नामित सदस्याच्या सेवानिवृत्तीच्या कारणानं रिक्त झालेली जागा भरण्यासाठी, राज्यसभेत श्री रंजन गोगोई यांना नामांकीत करत आहेत’.
